BMCF Medical Center : July 13, 2008 was a real special day in the life of BMCF. At 11:20AM the new foundation stone for the Medical Clinic was laid by Bishop Duncan Gray of Mississippi, assisted by Bishops Zebedee Masereka and Jackson Nzerebende of South Rwenzori, in the presence of Hon. Dr. Crispus Kiyonga, Minister of Defence, and the Chairman, Kasese District.

Grace Church, Venice, Florida : BMCF has been hosting a group of visitors from Grace United Methodist Church, Venice, Florida. They were in Kasese for two nights. The team was comprised of Pastor Tom Derrough, Dr. Will Cogburn and Mr. Ed Scott, and two Ugandans, Bernadette and John Bosco, who were helping to take the visitors around. While in Kasese visiting BMCF, the guests were given a guided tour of BMCF current Clinic, held a meeting with BMCF staff, held another meeting with about 20 HIV clients associated with BMCF Clinic, visited Kamaiba school, and also visited the site of the new Clinic. The Venice team was very good and very friendly, and are on fire for the mission of Christ’s Church.

Twinning of two schools : These are pictures from the twinning of Kamaiba school and St. John’s school. This twinning has brought about a close relationship between the two Cities, the two communities, and the two Countries. Reverend Marcia Davenport and Mr. Keith Lindquist were in Kasese this past May. Sponsors from St. John’s Parish recently donated funds for water-straws for Kasese community and shoes for Kamaiba students. In the Fall of 2007 Fiona Masika, a student from Kamaiba school and her Head-Teacher spent 6 weeks in at St. John’s School in Tampa. Last month. Marcia was in Kasese helping with parenting conferences for orphaned children’s guardians.
